SPOILER ALERT – No I am not pregnant… keep reading!
Alright, I haven’t been a good blogger as I haven’t posted in a while.
A few things have been going on, but the main thing relates to the core part of a foodie’s life. The stomach.
You hear me well, my stomach is the reason why I haven’t posted. Don’t laugh!
Let me summarise. For years, I have been enjoying amazing food, French bread, cheese, wine from the Old Continent and the New World. For years, I was so happy devouring life but my stomach never really agreed.
Stomach issues are not an easy and nice thing to talk about. Stomach issues when you’re stressed or an anxious person like me can make your life quite miserable.
I had been talking about going to the nutritionist for ages, but I always had a more important thing to do or was never in the right mindset. Because I knew exactly what the nutritionist would tell me.
I have IBS – irritable bowel syndrome. Boom she said it! Here is what it looks like for me, after eating a delicious Croque-Monsieur.
No I’m not pregnant! But hell yeah I am bloated!
So here we are, I am in the middle of the FODMAP diet which I’ll explain later. For the next few weeks, I won’t be going to restaurants but I do have a few reviews in my sleeves, I’ll be talking about IBS and FODMAP, I’ll be telling you all about New-Zealand as I’m heading there soon, and I’ll be learning how to live with IBS!
