We made it through! Merry Christmas to you all 🙂
As I was saying in my previous post, we mixed French and Irish Christmas. Tradition in my family is to have a Christmas Eve dinner.
The menu consisted of:
- Russian Olady
- Butternut squash soup
- Honey glazed ham & Roasted potatoes
- French Cheese selection
- Irish Christmas Fruit Cake (all the way from Ireland!)
All recipes will be added shortly to the blog.

We normally open our presents on the 24th evening but we followed boyfriend’s tradition to open them in the morning.
On Christmas day, after opening our own presents, we skyped both our families and opened our presents with our parents.
We were then invited for lunch at boyfriend’s colleague’s place. We were with Australians and English.
We had a typical English Christmas lunch with an Australian twist – a Pavlova!
We finished the day by watching Star Wars 🙂
On St Stephens’ day, we decided to go and watch the Sydney to Hobart in Vaucluse, which was really interesting.
We had never been to Vaucluse, so it was a great experience and we also discovered Shark Bay.
It was a different but really good Christmas – food, friends, Star Wars, Harry Potter, chocolate are always a good combination!
Merry Christmas to you all!
